Mathura Peda
Classic Mathura-style milk peda — rich and fragrant. 1Kg.
Mathura Peda is named after the sacred city of Mathura in Uttar Pradesh, where this style of peda is said to have originated. Distinguished from other peda by its darker colour and more concentrated flavour, it is made by reducing full-cream milk extensively with sugar until the mixture caramelises slightly, creating a subtly brown, deeply flavoured sweet. The texture is dry yet gives way easily, with a distinctive grainy finish and warm cardamom notes.
Amba Foods Mathura Peda is produced in Melbourne following the authentic Mathura recipe and supplied in 1Kg packs. A popular product with North Indian and Punjabi communities across Australia, especially during religious occasions and festive seasons.
