Balushahi Sweet Chandrakalan
Flaky, crispy balushahi chandrakalan glazed with sugar syrup. 1Kg.
Balushahi Sweet Chandrakalan is a traditional North Indian fried sweet with a history stretching back centuries. Made from flour, ghee, and a touch of yoghurt, the dough is shaped into thick discs or half-moon forms, deep-fried at low heat to create a flaky, layered interior, then soaked in sugar syrup until glazed and set. The outside is lightly crisp while the inside has a soft, almost pastry-like texture.
Amba Foods Balushahi Sweet Chandrakalan is handcrafted in Melbourne using an authentic recipe and supplied in 1Kg packs. A popular festive sweet offered at Diwali and weddings, and a reliable core product for any Indian mithai counter across Australian grocery stores.
